Accommodation

Cobal 2 will take place in a small town (San José del Cabo) located at the southern end of the Baja California peninsula (you can see some maps here ).

San Jose del Cabo is an authentic Mexican town, settled near the ocean along the San Jose Estuary, and on nearby hills. The logs of Spanish galleons in the 1500's refer to the estuary as "aguada segura", or "safe watering place". San Jose was an important stop for sailors low on provisions. Pirates landed here for fresh water, and hid nearby to ambush Spanish galleons, loaded with Mexican gold and silver, sailing from Acapulco to the Phillippines to buy silks and spices.

Today, San Jose is a busy center for commerce, agriculture, government, fishing and tourism. The influx of foreign (and Mexican) tourists, retirees and investors in recent years has resulted in an economic boom and rapid growth that continues today.

Our meeting has been organized as a residential event and its venue will be the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel . Accommodation costs are included (4 nights) in the conference fee. Please notice that you must pay 90 US dlls. more (per night) for one accompanyng person sharing the same room, and other 60 US dlls. in the case of a third party.
