1. Stand with feet one shoulder width apart. Place your hands just above the knees with the knees slightly bent. Breath out until you feel like your lungs are really empty. Use your arms as leverage and try to pull in your belly as far as you can towards the backbone (it is a feeling of pulling in as well as up towards the lungs) and hold it as long as you can without breathing in. Breath in and relax your belly at the same time.

 

2. Breath in and relax your belly at the same time.

 

Note the two variations, the second one is more difficult.

 

OBJECT: To touch the belly button to the backbone.

 

REPEATING: Repeat 5 - 6 times.

 

RESTING: You do not need to rest after the hollow.

 

 

Benefits: This is an excellent exercise for all kinds of problems of the stomach-constipation, lack of appetite. It is also good for the liver. Urinary track problems are also helped. It also tones the stomach muscles.
